Emma Boswell Dean is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at Miami Business School at the University of Miami. She is a health economist whose current research focuses on the pharmaceutical industry, global health, and access to medical care. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Managerial Sciences and Applied Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. from Cornell University in Biometry and Statistics. Prior to academia, she worked as a management consultant with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry.
